My Makeup: New York Face

Being in the US means one thing to a beauty lover like you and I - products. Not just any products, exciting ones that aren't easy to get hold of elsewhere. Say hello to bags upon bags of Sephora, Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushers and Milani Liquify. If you dove into my suitcase you'd need more than two hands to count lipsticks and don't even start on blush - you'd think I had more than one face. But

It's All About Berry Lips...

Berry lips are a look I've become accustomed to - a simple base like mascara and foundation paired with a berry lip is the quickest way to be out the door looking decent. My dive in the deep end into berry lips included some very daring shades (for a nude lip lover) but here's an edit of my top picks from Tom Ford to Stila. First and foremost - lining my lips, which Mac Current Lip Pencil does

EXCLUSIVE: Birchbox UK!

My guilty pleasure, (if LB wasn't enough of an indication), is learning about different brands and trying them out - needless to say a beauty subscription service, where I could expect a box filled with products to try each month was right up my street. Birchbox, the biggest beauty subscription service in the US has officially launched in the UK today! I know, very exciting news ladies, but for

New In: Chanel Spring 2013 Collection, Printemps Preciéux De Chanel

Chanel never seem to get it wrong do they? I had seen visuals of Printemps Preciéux De Chanel flying round the internet much before its release date and I'm pretty sure I drooled a little. The Poudre Signé De Chanel Illuminating Powder, is a must have for highlight obsessors purely for the most incredible embossing I've ever laid my eyes on. Consisting of an ever so pretty golden shade with warm

Little Black Bow

Little Black Bow (part of the Glamour Daze collection) is one of my favourite fluideline gel eyeliners from MAC. It's a dark grey shade with tiny little iridescent glittery particles, sooo pretty. Little Black Bow is such a nice change from the bold black eyeliner that I normally wear (Blacktrack by Mac is my current 'go to'), it's nice to mix things up every once in a while, don't you think?

My Makeup: New Year, New Face

You try being away from your beloved stash for over two weeks, it's hard. Admittedly the majority of my thoughts were about coming home and slapping on everything I've got but that would need much more than one face...Craving a glow and the best place to start being Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone (post here) which did the trick, all over my face, followed by the glowiest of them all

PORE fessional

POREfessional, worth the hype? Absolutely. Now, I don't think I have particularly large pores to begin with, but when one of my friends popped this in the post for me I thought what the heck, I'll give it a go, see what all the fuss is about. I'm usually not fussed about Benefit products, I find them very overpriced and disappointing (please don't hate me, Benefit fans).I apply this as my primer

Best Of 2012: Eyes & Brows

Mac Paint Pot in PainterlyA great colour for my skin tone and for evening out my eyelids whilst ensuring my eye makeup doesn't crease, blends easily and appears more vibrant. A case of the blues...

Do you ever have those few days or a couple of weeks even where you just feel down, unmotivated and poopy for no particular reason? I've felt like that over the past couple of weeks now. It's really ridiculous because my life is pretty much perfect right now and I love it, I have no logical reason to be feeling low. I'm guessing it's an over-generous dose of PMT, so reading Gala Darlings  'The

Pink Swoon

I'll admit I'm normally a cream blusher kind of lady. I've always preffered the finish of them and just found them a little more flattering on my skin and easy to blend.Pink Swoon by Mac, was one of the powder blushers given to me on my make-up course, not a product I would normally pick up for myself. So I was pleasantly surprised when I actually ended up really liking it. Since I've been using

It's A Candle Thing...

Something about the cold weather, crisp air and rosy cheeks makes candle lighting an absolute pleasure. Not that it isn't a pleasure all year round, even in the midst of Summer you'll find a candle burning somewhere in the LB household. However, Winter makes me want to light the lot of them and let their scents fill up every room in my house, and let me tell you, there isn't a complaint to be

Beauty On Location: Skiing In Switzerland

After being warned may times previous to my holiday about the crisp air's ability to turn plump, fresh skin into something red, blotchy and flaky I made sure to be fully prepared, masks, oils and moisturisers galore -  I may have only packed one foundation but a skincare stash came along with me. All days are windy days especially when schooping down the slopes and even on the sunniest of days

How To: Straight, Voluminous Hair

There's that hard balance between straight and flat and straight and voluminous, the latter being something I strive to achieve in my flat-as-a-pancake hair. Long tresses like mine tend to get weighed down, and achieving some lift in lifeless locks isn't easy but luckily there are a few usual aids that help add a little volume. Starting off with wet hair I'll spray some of Elnett Heat Protect

Best Of The Eyeliners

My eyes are the feature I tend to play up the most, usually in the form of eyeshadows and eyeliners with the occasional false lash thrown in. I've often come across those liners, that despite being a gorgeous colour, have tugged against my lids, smudged and once one even ended up halfway down my face. Just no. My little wardrobe of what I call on to line my eyes ranges from gels to liquids and
